External Feedback & Response

In Fall, 2024, the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences (SHS) Graduate Program Directors met with ODA Senior Data Analyst Nathan Laursen to review assessment and discuss changes and improvements to departmental graduate Program Learning Assessments.

In Spring, 2025, the Assistant Department Head who is also SLP Program Director became a member of the new USU Program Learning Assessment Committee. As part of the initial training, committee members reviewed the rating rubric and the reported Program Learning Assessments in other departments. Based on this experience, for the SLP Program Learning Assessment, more contextual program information was added. Also based on the questions asked in the 2025 “Department Program Assessment Report” and clarification from the new ODA Institution Effectiveness Officer, Mary McKay Strobel, some items were modified.
