Assessment Plan/Process

The direct measure of SLPA program learning in this initial review is for the Capstone clinical experience of COMD 5960 only. For student performance on the other courses for which Focused instructional attention is provided, see the BA/BS in COMD Assessment plan and results.

The indirect measure of SLPA program learning is student, advisor, and instructor feedback from informal and formal sources.

The undergraduate programs primarily involve students going into the field of speech-language pathology, and most of the  instructors are from the SLP Division, so these programs are dealt with primarily through monthly SLP Division meetings and annual Retreat. Subgroups are formed to deal with specific topics as needed. The SLPA Certificate program assessment website and results were presented to all the faculty in the 2025 Department August Retreat.
