Fall, 2025 will be the first external review cycle for the SLPA Certificate.
CEHS Associate Dean Sylvia Read reviewed the SLPA Certificate requirements and recommended changing them to require completion of a Bachelor's Degree. This would make the USU SLPA Certificate consistent with USBE Speech-Language Technician requirements. It would also meet or exceed requirements for SLPAs for all other states and national certification.
