Uprooted: Voices of Student Homelessness

Dr. Kessa Roberts discuss student homelessness with faculty and staff from the Edith Bowen Laboratory School in Logan, Utah.
This 16-page comic tells the story of four students experiencing homelessness. While Jackie, Angel, Ben and Kayla are fictional characters, their experiences are based on findings from a multi-year research study on student and family homelessness conducted by the Uprooted research team. The purpose of Uprooted is to highlight the varied experiences of students experiencing homeless, dispelling common homelessness myths, and reducing stigma, all with the intent to better identify and serve students in these situations
