A Standard RedCap account is best for:
- Research projects not involving Protected Health Information (PHI)
- General surveys and data collection
- Non-clinical research studies
- Quality improvement projects that do not include PHI
Restrictions:
- Cannot be used to store or process PHI or any sensitive health-related data
- Must comply with university data security policies for research data
Requesting a regular REDCap Account:
Although REDCap is housed in the College of Education & Human Services at USU, it is available to any USU faculty, staff, and students. Faculty may also request accounts for collaborators outside of USU. Students must identify a faculty mentor through the request form below. Please allow 2-3 business days for your request to be processed.

- Follow the link in the email you receive to set your password.
- Login at https://redcap.cehs.usu.edu with your user name and password.
Users must delete their data from RedCap after their data collection is over. RedCap is not a data storage tool.
