Biography

Maurianna joined the Office of Research Services as a proposal development specialist in February of 2024. Her previous experience includes coordinating the county-wide Senior Nutrition Program for older adults (a.k.a. Meals on Wheels) federally funded through the Administration for Community Living and two years of national service as an AmeriCorps VISTA member. Maurianna also spent 10 years as a collegiate speech and debate coach advising student competitors on crafting and refining persuasive arguments. She holds a Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Utah, M.A. from Kansas State University, and B.A. from Hastings College.
