Intermountain Healthcare donates $100,000 to the nursing program in the EEJ College of Education and Human Services at USU

IHC presents $100,000 check to USU's Nursing Program

The Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services hosted a luncheon celebrating National Nurses week,which was held at the David B. Haight Alumni Center on Monday, May 9, 2016. Intermountain Healthcare presented the college with a scholarship gift of $100,000 to support diverse students in the nursing program. Dr. Beth Foley, dean of the college, accepted the gift from Neil Perkes, Intermountain Logan Regional Hospital Chief Nursing Officer and Debbie Hardy, Corporate Giving Manager of Community Benefit for Intermountain Healthcare. Also honored at the event, was scholarship applicant and pre-nursing student, Amorae Mia Little, who gave a moving address about the importance of scholarship support for diverse students. She expressed that without support from donors, like Intermountain Healthcare, furthering her education would not be possible. Dean Foley expressed gratitude to Mrs. Mikelle Moore, Vice President of Community Benefit, Intermountain Healthcare and Kyle Hansen, Intermountain Logan Regional Hospital CEO, for their key roles in facilitating this gift.
