Meet the ACT Workshop Presenter: March 5, 2025

Patricia Z headshotDr. Patricia Zurita Ona, known as Dr. Z, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist based in California with extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults facing OCD, trauma, anxiety, and emotional regulation challenges. Her professional journey began as a school psychologist before transitioning into clinical practice, and she is the founder of the East Bay Behavior Therapy Center, a boutique practice where she leads an intensive outpatient program combining Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) to help clients break free from obsessions, reconnect with their values, and engage in meaningful activities. Dr. Z regularly attends local, national, and international conferences to stay informed about the latest clinical research and ensure her therapy services are cutting-edge. She has been recognized as a Fellow of the Association of Contextual Behavioral Science, is a graduate of the International OCD Foundation’s Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) for pediatric and adult OCD, and bases her clinical work on ERP, the gold-standard treatment for OCD and anxiety-related disorders. Additionally, Dr. Z has intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and has spent the last decade learning, practicing, and teaching ACT.
