Target Audience: Educators and students middle school and up

Google hangouts allows you to make video calls, phone calls, or message a person or a group of people. I am often involved in video Google Hangouts with groups of people (up to ten). One feature I use a lot - users can share their live computer screens with one another.
For messaging only, users can -
- Have a one-on-one conversation or a group chat with the whole gang
- Say even more with emoji, photos, GIFs, and maps
- Sync chats from device to device and keep the conversation going wherever you are
For voice, users can -
- Make calls from your Android, iOS, or desktop
- Make completely free calls to other Hangouts users worldwide.
- Call almost any phone number in the US and Canada for free.
Google Hangouts could be used as a great way for teachers to talk to students especially for an online class.
Students could also use it to collaborate with one another while working on a group project or assignment.
You should also check out Hangouts On Air - Broadcast live conversations to the world for free.
- Broadcast live in HD on Google, YouTube and your website
- Add your Hangout On Air recordings to your YouTube channel
- Take audience questions in advance and answer the best ones live
- Use customization and advanced controls to create the kind of experience you want
