Drawing from theories of organizational routines, Posselt will share new research about holistic admissions policy implementation in 13 doctorate programs at five University of California campuses that were subject to the state’s affirmative action ban. She will present newly published research that the transition to holistic review involved delegitimizing previously unquestioned routines and protecting the possibility of new ones by managing the dialogue around change.
