Undergraduate Data-Based Decisions

Decisions based on direct and indirect indicators, including capstone test, online survey and student, advisor, and instructor feedback:

• Capstone performance satisfactory for nature of the quiz. Minimum acceptable course grade is C.
• Revise UG Learning Objectives for COMD focus and more clearly link to associated coursework.
• Revise COMD 3700 (Basic Audiology) to improve preparation for audiology technician preparation.
• Integrated, streamlined, and improved timing of instruction for acoustics, anatomy, and physiology in speech and hearing (COMD 3100 and 3400 became 3800, and 5070 added hearing acoustics).
• Improve SLP Assistant preparation: COMD 5960 - SLPA Clinical Experience and SLPA certificate credential
• Add Bachelor's Major in Deaf Education with new courses to prepare ASL/English and LSL teachers.
• Change COMDDE major to COMD for better match to communication disorders over deaf education.
