Alternative Pathway to Professional Educator License

Alternate Path to Professional Educator Licensure (APPEL) is a program created and managed by the Utah State Board of Education to provide those who already have a bachelor's degree the opportunity to earn a teaching license. Utah State University offers pedagogy courses that will help you progress toward professional licensure.

To begin this process, you must first have a bachelor's degree and apply for the Associate Educator License through the Utah State Board of Education.
