Synopsis

This is ostensibly a book about the many applications of spider silk, but the topics it covers range from baby goats to strawberries. Spider silk DNA can be produced in a variety of ways, making Stronger Than Steel an excellent introduction to genetic engineering. It combines detailed yet easy-to-navigate informational text with plenty of full-color photographs.
