Rehab Counseling Certification Admissions

CERTIFICATE PROGRAM APPLICANTS:

Applicants for the Certificate program are required to submit an online application, $55 application fee, official master’s degree transcript, resume, and statement of purpose. Instructions on how to apply are below:

  • Go to usu.edu.  
  • Create an account by entering your email address and set up password.  
  • Application Listing: New Graduate Application
  • I plan to start:Enter start semester (e.g., Spring 2022)
  • Enter Personal information, demographic information, citizenship & residency, academic history.
  • When you get to Academic Course of Study:
    • Where do you plan to study: select out-of-state, or if in Utah select site closest to where you live
    • Academic Program: Certificate in Rehabilitation & Disability Studies
    • Areas of Interest: Category 3 Certificate Program
  • Certify & submit your application, pay the $55 application fee
  • After submitting and paying for your application, you can upload your statement of purpose and resume into the Supplemental Items section.
  • Provide an official master’s degree transcript (we do not need bachelor’s degree transcripts).  Please send official transcripts to the following address:  0900 Old Main Hill, Logan UT 84322-0900.  Official electronic transcripts may be sent to graduateschool@usu.edu from the institution.  

 

NON-DEGREE SEEKING APPLICANTS

In some cases, students only need to take a few courses, so they are allowed to apply as non-degree seeking students. The only requirement for these applicants is an online application (no transcripts, fees, or letters required).

To apply as a non-degree seeking student, and to be assigned a student number (A#) follow the link and instructions below. You shouldn't be asked to submit transcripts, test scores, etc. or an application fee. If it asks for a fee, you have the wrong application. Please complete this application asap.

  • Click on APPLY ONLINE
  • Create an Account
  • Create a New Application
  • Application Listing: Go to the bottom of the page under Non-Degree Seeking Students and click on the Non-Degree Seeking Application
  • I plan to start: Enter entry semester (e.g., Spring 2022).
  • Application: Fill out application restrictions, personal information, demographic information, citizenship and residency. When you get to the Academic Course of Study section, enter the following: 
    • Anticipated Entry Term: Enter start semester (e.g., Spring 2022)
    • What is your educational intent? Earn Post-Graduate Endorsement
    • Academic Program of Study: All Other Non-Degree Seeking
    • Where do you plan to study: Select Out-of-State, or if in Utah, the USU site geographically closest to you.
    • Have you earned a bachelor’s degree? Yes
    • Are you planning on taking undergraduate level courses? No
  • When you have completed all sections, click on Certify & Submit. 
  • When your admission has been approved, you will receive an email verifying your admission and student number (A#).
