Accreditation

Utah State University is governed by the State Board of Regents and has been accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) since 1924. The NWCCU is “an independent, non-profit membership organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) as the regional authority on educational quality and institutional effectiveness of higher education institutions” (nwccu.org).
The program is fully accredited by the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP) and is approved by the Utah State Office of Education and most other states.
