Online 1st Bachelor's Degree


The Online 1st Bachelor of Science or Arts (BS/BA) in Communicative Disorders is a pre-professional degree program. Students receive academic preparation needed for graduate study in the entry level degree for employment in the communication sciences and disorders or CSD professions of audiology and speech-language pathology, or in deaf education.

Online 2nd Bachelor's Degree


Already have a bachelor's degree but with a different major? The Online 2nd Bachelor of Science (BS) in Communicative Disorders is a pre-professional degree program designed just for you. This is a pre-professional program that prepares you to enter a graduate program in Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education.

SLP Assistant


Speech-language pathology assistants work under SLP supervision in preschool, elementary, and secondary education settings. You can complete a USU COMDDE SLPA certificate as part of your 1st or 2nd Bachelor in online or on-campus courses.

ASL Interpreting Track


Utah State University has established a track in American Sign Language Interpreting (ASLI), which is an Associate-to-Bachelor's degree (BS) in the Communication Disorders and Deaf Education Department. All courses, including upper division courses, are offered completely online.

ASL Minor


Learning another language is a great asset to any career and American Sign Language (ASL) is no exception.  The coursework to earn the ASL minor is rigorous and covers much more than typical ASL classes.  Aspects of Deaf culture, Deaf history, ASL history, linguistics, ASL folklore and literature, and pragmatics are covered in the ASL courses through a total immersion approach.

ASL/English Teacher Training Program


A new emphasis in Bilingual-Bicultural Deaf Education was recently approved and we are in the process of requesting approval of a full bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education with ASL/English emphasis.  Students may contact their advisor for more information.
