This NSF-funded project explored how young children use mathematical knowledge when they code with tangible coding toys.

The project developed:

  1. Cognitive model for the integration of mathematics and computational thinking in early childhood.
  2. Curriculular resources and materials for classroom use.
  3. Performance -based assessment of these integrated components.
