CEU Credits
We are now offering non-academic CEU credit for attending Arts Are Core: Building Community. Educators interested in receiving CEU credit must follow the guidelines below. Please note there are two deadlines in order to receive credit. You must be registered for the CEU course by August 4th and those seeking credit must have all assignments turned in by August 18th.
CEU Registration Information
- The conference is worth 1 CEU credit (Please note: the credit cannot be converted to academic credit)
- You must be registered and have paid for the CEU course by August 4th in order to receive credit.
- Register for the conference course (CEEL 5700: Arts Are Core Conference) using this link: https://www.usu.edu/ais/ceu/register/?term=202130&crns=38296
- The registration process will walk you through payment at a reduced summer rate of $30.00/credit
- Once registered, you should receive a link to Canvas. This is the platform where you will log in and upload your assignments. Detailed instructions for each assignment are also located in Canvas.
- You will have two weeks or until August 18th to complete the required assignments in order to receive a Pass/Fail
- The CEU office will email each registered student after they have been registered and provide the student with instructions on how to view their transcript.
- Registrants who fail to meet the deadline of August 4 and August 18 will not receive credit and cannot be refunded the $30.00 course fee.
- If you fail to meet the course requirements, relicensure points will be awarded in lieu of CEU credits.
Post Conference Assignments
- In order to receive the CEU credit you must complete the assignment below. Detailed information will be provided once you register and pay for the course using this link: https://www.usu.edu/ais/ceu/register/?term=202130&crns=38296
- Write a one page summary (12 pt. font, double spaced) of what you learned from the conference and how you will apply it in your classroom.
- Using a template of your choice, create a lesson plan based on something that inspired you from the conference. This can be a brand-new lesson plan or an extension of one you received at the conference.
- You cannot receive partial credit: Both assignments must be completed and turned in by the August 18th deadline.
