Physical Therapy Services

Physical therapy services are provided by licensed Physical Therapists. Physical therapy evaluations and treatments are based on each client’s individual needs and impairments.

At the Sorenson Center, Physical therapists perform both land-based and aquatic therapy treatments. For aquatic therapy, the Sorenson Center pool is ideal, as the floor of our therapy pool is adjustable, allowing for the optimal treatment depth for each client. The pool floor can also rise to the level of the pool deck, allowing for seamless access.

The Sorenson Center also has a Physical Therapist who provides Hippotherapy services (PT services on horseback) to youth. This service is provided at USU’s Sam Skaggs Equine Education Center. The use of a horse in therapy can help improve balance, postural reactions, and strength as well as enhance motivation and engagement.

Our physical therapists utilize various manual therapy and therapeutic exercise techniques to target the root cause of pain, helping individuals avoid unnecessary medications, costly tests, and surgical procedures.

We accept most insurance plans. Please contact the clinic for more information regarding whether our services are in-network for your plan. If your insurance is not one we accept, you will be responsible for payment at the time of service.
