Bio

Dr. Boghosian was born and raised in a small town in Southern California. She received her doctoral degree in 2011 in Combined Clinical/Counseling/School Psychology. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Boghosian has trained and/or worked as a clinical psychologist in outpatient, inpatient, residential, and hospital settings.

Dr. Boghosian routinely works with children, adolescents, and adults. She has experience helping people affected by depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety (including OCD and panic), ADHD, disruptive behaviors, trauma, and eating disorders. Dr. Boghosian values multicultural competencies and LGBTQ+ affirmative counseling approaches. Dr. Boghosian is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Behavioral Parent Training, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Treatment planning is approached from a scientist-practitioner model. Dr. Boghosian applies the theory and treatment package that best fits the presenting problem and background of each specific client in a collaborative process with the client (and family when applicable).

Dr. Boghosian believes that every person has a right to be treated with compassion, kindness, and consideration. Her goal is to provide each person the support needed to improve life, engender hope, and to move towards a meaningful life.
