About Us

In 2023, a diverse group of researchers at Utah State University (USU) realized that their areas of research intersect with modifiable lifestyle factors linked to Alzheimer’s disease. With support from the USU Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Research Center (ADRC) and the Emma Eccles Jones foundation, this group of researchers committed to share information about Alzheimer’s disease prevention with the public through a health fair. The first Alzheimer’s prevention health fair was held on June 29, 2024 on the USU campus. A key aspect of the fair was the enrollment of fair attendees to join the research project, Prevent Alzheimer’s for Life Study (PALS). In response to the community's enthusiasm for the first health fair, USU is committed to continue the health fairs to disseminate research information and encourage healthy lifestyles for the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease.

Purpose
