Aggies Elevated Freshmen stand in front of Old Main tower

With 11 returning students and 13 new freshmen now across both Utah State campuses, Aggies Elevated is back in full swing for the 2022-2023 school year! This first month has had a lot of highlights, from fun USU events to student internships and new classes. And as we have introduced the largest cohort of students to Aggies Elevated, this year has brought a lot of new and exciting changes!

One of the new freshmen at the Utah State Logan campus, Lily , said about her first few weeks as a Utah State University student: "If I wasn’t in Aggies Elevated I think I would be a lot more stressed. I'm less stressed because we have study group about every other day that helps us with homework and everything. I feel like everyone is so sweet and so supportive."

The adjustment to college life is a big change, but Aggies Elevated first-years and returning students are handling the adjustments and succeeding in their individual classes & college efforts. Each student is assigned a student peer mentor who meets with them 10 hours a week to work on social, academic and professional goals. These mentors help with all facets of college life, and are an essential part of the Aggies Elevated program.

We are still hiring for Aggies Elevated mentors! If you know anyone who would be a good fit for the program, apply on USU Handshake under "Aggies Elevated Peer Mentor". We'd love for you to join us!
