History of Aggies Elevated

Aggies Elevated is an inclusive 2-year certificate program for young adults with intellectual disabilities (ID) at Utah State University's main campus in Logan. It is one of the few such programs in the Intermountain Region to offer an inclusive residential living component.

Aggies Elevated launched as a donor-supported program in August 2014 and is entering its final year as a model TPSID (Transition & Postsecondary Programs for Students with Intellectual Disabilities) program, with funding from the United States Department of Education.

Aggies Elevated is also a federally designated Comprehensive Transition Program (CTP), making our students eligible for selected forms of financial aid. Through the support of USU's administration and the generosity of donors, the program will continue to serve students with ID long after the grant funding ends in 2020.

Students are selected for the program following a competitive process that begins each September for the following fall semester. Each student's progress in academics, independent living, social skills, and overall adjustment to college is continually evaluated. Our goal is nothing less than the success of our students.
