About the Staff

Michelle McKnight, PhD

Aggies Elevated Executive Director

Dr. McKnight has served as the Executive Director of Aggies Elevated since 2022. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Special Education and Rehabilitation Counseling. Dr. McKnight has worked as both a special education teacher and a vocational rehabilitation counselor and feels that background is valuable in her oversight of the program. Her primary research interests are the post-secondary education and employment experiences of autistic people and those with intellectual disabilities. Dr. McKnight's favorite part of Aggies Elevated is watching the incredible progress each student makes in their social, emotional, vocational, and academic goals throughout the program!

Liz Dimond, PhD

Eastern Program Director

Dr. Liz Dimond is the Director of Aggies Elevated Eastern. Her educational background is in Special Education, Human Development, and Disability Policy. She worked as a support coordinator for people with intellectual disabilities, autism, and brain injuries for 7 years prior to completing her Ph.D. in 2022 and bringing Aggies Elevated to the Eastern campus. Liz currently serves on several boards that promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in their communities and in education. She has been involved with the disability community since she was very young, working as a peer tutor in middle school and a direct care provider in her early college years. She also has family members with disabilities. 

Lindsay Thunell, MRC, CRC

Logan Program Director

Lindsay has worked with Aggies Elevated since 2018 and took over as the Logan Program Director in January 2023. She has a master’s degree in rehabilitation and mental health counseling and professional experience in inclusive post-secondary education and clinical mental health. Lindsay has extensive experience working with individuals with disabilities across a variety of settings including clinical mental health, teaching, physical and occupational therapy, and direct in-home care. She started working in the disability community early on as a middle school peer tutor 

Reagan Wengreen, MSW, CSW

Logan Assistant Director

Reagan Wengreen is a licensed therapist with an undergraduate degree in Sociology and a Master’s in Social Work. Since 2014, she has worked with many youth and young adults with disabilities in various roles, including as a school social worker, after school program coordinator, and as a caseworker for youth-aged victims of crime. Reagan joined the Aggies Elevated team in February 2023 as an intern, and accepted the Assistant Director role in July 2024.
