An Associate of Science (AS) degree in Elementary Education prepares a student interested in a career in education to obtain a degree as they determine the role that best suits their career goals.
This degree can stack into a BA or BS in a chosen teaching major (e.g. Elementary Education or Early Childhood education), transfer into another major, or allow movement into the workforce. The future BA or BS degree leads to a recommendation for Professional License from the Utah State Board of Education to teach in the grade-level or content of the chosen degree.
