Synopsis

What Color is My World? is the perfect addition to any classroom library. The main narrative is about two kids fixing up their new house with mysterious Mr. Mital, who knows a lot about African-American inventors and is only too happy to share that knowledge. The story is punctuated with short introductions to numerous inventors, explaining who they are and how their inventions helped society. It's a great book to kick off a discussion about African-American inventions, or to supplement a research project. Whatever it's used for, kids will love the engaging plot and tone.
