Hearing & Balance
In Hearing and Balance, our team of audiologists provide personalized care for you and your family by addressing your hearing and balance needs. Approximately 20% of Americans experience hearing loss, and recent estimates show that rates of hearing loss will almost double in the future. Hearing loss can lead to feelings of isolation, sadness, and frustration. Balance problems can make you feel as if the room is spinning, feel lightheaded, dizzy or unsteady, and can increase your risk of falling.
Hearing and Balance provides thorough hearing testing in order to recommend the right hearing aids for improved communication. Hearing aids are fitted using Real Ear technology, which personalizes specific life and communication needs. We offer balance testing and therapy to reduce dizziness, lightheadedness, or risk of falls. In addition to Hearing and Balance services, specialized services are provided in the Pediatric Audiology division and Cochlear Implant division. All USU audiology clinics are staffed by expert licensed and certified audiologists who train university graduate students.
