Bio
Tyler is a licensed psychologist in the states of Utah and Tennessee with his Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of Miami. At the Sorenson Center, he primarily serves as the supervisor and director of Sexual and Gender Minority Support Services.
Tyler is passionate about creating a space where sexual and gender minorities can find health and healing. He is particularly attuned to the needs of sexual and gender minorities who come from conservative religious backgrounds. Through Sexual and Gender Minority Support Services, Tyler loves working with families, youth, and couples. He frequently supervises his students in writing letters of support for transgender and gender diverse individuals seeking hormone replacement therapy or gender affirmative surgeries.
