Bio
Dr. Cameron obtained his PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2023 at Palo Alto University. Previous institutions and communities he has served include community mental health, a federally-funded vocational school program for marginalized and minoritized young adults, as well as, college and university counseling where he grew his experience in conducting psychotherapy from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, narrative, feminist, and Jungian modalities.
Jacob’s scientist-practitioner approach to treatment is integrative, relational, and cultural. He aims to meet those that he serves where they are at, using a strength-based, collaborative perspective to help improve wellbeing. He has worked with individuals, families, and groups ranging in age from adolescents to older adults. Jacob is passionate about young adult development, social justice, and working with diverse individuals within their sociocultural context. He applies his training and knowledge to work alongside a variety of concerns including: trauma, anxiety, stress, anger, grief, depression, motivation, relationships, faith challenges, ADHD, self-harm, suicidality, gender and sexuality, and eating and body concerns. He hopes to help others in their journey toward leading an authentic, connected, and balanced life.
