Biography

I am a part of the Diné Tribe and a member of the Navajo Nation. I graduated with a BA in psychology from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado in 2016. In 2018, I attended The University of Alaska - Anchorage for a MS in clinical psychology. I am currently a doctoral student at Utah State University in the Combined Clinical/Counseling Psychology PhD specialization. My research interests revolve around the effects of historical trauma on indigenous populations. More specifically, masters thesis is on knowledge and understanding of historical trauma among American Indian and Alaska Native college students and how they perceive the effects historical trauma has on them, their families, and their communities.
