Amylisha Mykyta

Biography

I'm a doctoral student in the Combined Clinical/Counseling Program at Utah State University in Dr. Tyler Lefevor’s Lab. I graduated from Occidental College in 2025 with a major in Psychology and a minor in Computer Science. Some of my past research has focused on perceptions of romance in same and opposite gender pairs and creating themed teaching modules for undergraduate psychology courses. My current research focuses on LGBTQ+ mental health, especially when it comes to the role of parents. More foundationally, I am interested in moral differences and how they can be reconciled in important relationships.
