Biography
I am a doctoral student in the School Psychology Program at Utah State University. I'm in the School Mental Health Lab, working under Dr. Tyler Renshaw. I completed my undergraduate degree here at USU, majoring in psychology with a minor in social work. I've spent a considerable amount of time engaging in intervention research and applying DBT techniques with adolescents at a local residential treatment center. I am primarily interested in understanding the relationship between post-traumatic stress and academic functioning in adolescents. It is my goal to apply my research to the improvement of trauma-informed school frameworks. In my free time, I enjoy a good psychological thriller, playing the piano, and spending time outdoors with my husband and two dogs.
