Biography
I am a graduate student working with Dr. Maria Kleinstaeuber in the Combined Clinical/Counseling Psychology PhD specialization at Utah State University. I completed my undergraduate degree at Bates College in Maine where I studied psychology and pottery. After graduating from Bates, I moved back to my hometown of Pittsburgh where I worked for two years as a research assistant at the University of Pittsburgh and the UPMC Center for Integrative Medicine. During this time, I worked on studies spanning several of my research interests including mindfulness, acute/chronic pain management, and integrative medicine. My experience living with an autoimmune disease fuels my curiosity of the connection between physical and mental health and I look forward to taking a holistic approach in my career as a psychologist. In my free time, I love studying and teaching yoga, making art of all kinds, and spending time outdoors.
