Debangshu Chanda

Biography

I am a doctoral student in Psychology at Utah State University and a member of the PR2IDE Lab, where I am mentored by Dr. Renee Galliher. I hold Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology from West Bengal State University, India. My research focuses on gender, sexuality, and identity development, with an emphasis on psychological well-being, relationship functioning, and mental health outcomes among diverse populations in the United States and globally. Using qualitative and mixed-methods approaches, my work aims to generate empirically grounded knowledge that can inform culturally responsive research, clinical training, and evidence-based practices across U.S. and international contexts. Through this work, I seek to advance scientific understanding of psychological health across various human identities.
