Dr. Michael Levin was recently selected as the next editor-in-chief of the Journal of Contextual Behavioral Science (JCBS). Levin is an Associate Professor for the Combined Clinical/Counseling Psychology PhD program in the Utah State University Department of Psychology.

JCBS is the flagship journal for the Association for Contextual and Behavioral Science (ACBS). The journal focuses on scholarly work within the field of contextual behavioral science, a scientific approach that integrates basic and applied research in behavior analysis, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and many other areas.

Levin was selected through an interview process conducted by the ACBS Publications Committee and confirmed by the ACBS Board of Directors. As the editor-in-chief of JCBS, Levin will oversee the journal and guide its continued growth. This is a four-year appointment, into which Levin will transition over the next few months.

JCBS has grown substantially in recent years to become a major outlet for CBS-relevant work, and I’m excited to be stepping into this role,” Levin said.

Levin’s research focuses on using technology to increase access to evidence-based mental health resources, especially ACT. He has been part of the faculty at USU since 2013 and co-directs the USU ACT Research Group with Dr. Michael Twohig. Levin recently released ACT Guide, an online self-help program designed to foster wellbeing and help individuals cope with mental health issues including depression, anxiety, and stress.

Congratulations to Dr. Levin for this distinguished appointment.
