Grewe Elected to Psi Chi Board of Directors

Jennifer Grewe

Dr. Jennifer Grewe, assistant professor in the Utah State University Psychology Department, has been elected to the Psi Chi Board of Directors as the Rocky Mountain Regional Vice President. Psi Chi is an international honor society that exists to advance the science of psychology as well as encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields.

“I was honored to be nominated for this position,” said Grewe. “I have found my interactions with Psi Chi and its members to be incredibly rewarding and worthwhile. I am grateful to have the opportunity to support others in having a positive experience with Psi Chi.”

Grewe has served on the Psi Chi steering committee for the past three years and has been the faculty advisor for the USU Psi Chi chapter since 2015. Additionally, she serves as a co-director of the psychology undergraduate program and the director of the Connections program at USU.

“I have loved interacting with Psi Chi student members at USU,” Grewe said. “We have an active and engaged chapter due to the quality of students that we have here at USU. It has made the experience a fun one and something I look forward to every week.”

Under Grewe’s direction, the USU Psi Chi chapter has held numerous events, including service opportunities and educational outreach workshops. It has also conducted research, held presentations, and been awarded grant funding. The chapter has been recognized as a Model Chapter for the past three consecutive years.

“We enjoy welcoming new faces and voices to our chapter at USU and are a space that thrives on diversity and inclusion,” Grewe said. “All are welcome to participate, and I encourage anyone to look into the requirements for joining.”
