Thesis/Dissertation Process

Please utilize the directions and links below to begin the process for your master’s thesis. Students are responsible for accessing and digitally submitting the forms via the graduate school website. Any questions regarding thesis and dissertations should be directed to Krista.

Before Thesis/Dissertation Proposal

Following a student’s third semester: 
  1. Submit Supervisory Committee Approval Form
  2. Submit Program of Study

At Thesis/Dissertation Proposal

Within seven days of successful proposal:
  • submit thesis/dissertation title page to Krista via email to route for electronic signatures.

After Thesis/Dissertation Proposal

Three months prior to defense: 
  • For Thesis: Submit the Thesis Project Approval Form after successful proposal and IRB or IACUC approval (if necessary)
  • For Dissertations: Submit the Application for Candidacy Form after successful proposal and IRB or IACUC approval (if necessary)

Before Thesis/Dissertation Defense

Ten business days prior to defense 
  • Submit Appointment for Examination Form
  • Submit Thesis Title Page

After Thesis/Dissertation Defense

a. Ten business days before submitting thesis for finalization: 
  1. Submit Authorship and Copyright Form
  2. Submit Format and Style Form 
b. Submit thesis to Krista by email for formatting review
