Yoga Studies at Utah State University offers students an in-depth understanding of yoga as a physical, mental, and philosophical practice, and provides students with the skills to teach those concepts in a safe and effective manner to a general adult population. Our yoga studies program provides students the opportunity to minor in yoga studies and is an approved YOGA ALLIANCE® school at the 200-hour and 300 hour level. The curriculum adheres to YOGA ALLIANCE®requirements which include asana technique, pranayama, yoga philosophy, mediation, anatomy, physiology, ethics, teaching methodology and practical application. Upon completion, students will be educated and qualified to register as a certified yoga instructor through YOGA ALLIANCE® and have the necessary education to teach yoga in a public and/or private setting.
