Melissa Johnson

Biography

In my position, I have many responsibilities and items I manage for the Kinesiology and Health Science department. My main responsibilities are as the Graduate Program Coordinator and Administrative Assistant to the Department Head. In these roles, I serve as a link between our department and the graduate school. This includes answering questions for graduate students throughout their program, from application to graduation, assisting with forms, deadlines, and degree completion requirements. As the administrative assistant, I help to field general questions about the department and support the Department Head in his roles and responsibilities.

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Human Movement Science, emphasis in Exercise Science, and a master’s degree in Instructional Technology and Learning Science from USU. I am currently working on a Ph.D. in Instructional Technology and Learning Science. I enjoy working with the students, staff, and faculty within this department and finding ways to contribute to the improved experiences of those in our department. Outside of school and work, I enjoy softball, reading, photography/videography, and spending time with my family.
