Kinesiology Grad Inducted to Athletics Hall of Fame

Trever Ball, a graduate from the Kinesiology and Health Science department, was recently inducted to the 2022 Utah State University Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame class.

Ball attended Utah State University from 2002 to 2006 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. While attending USU, he was a part of the Cross Country and Track and Field team, earning many honors and setting many records.

Some of Ball’s accomplishments include being named the Big West Conference Cross Country Athlete of the Year in 2004 and helping his team win the Western Athletic Conference Championship in 2005. In addition, Ball placed 29th in the 2005 NCAA Championships, making him the first USU men’s cross country athlete to receive All-American honors. During his time at USU, he also earned five weekly conference honors in Cross Country.

In track and field, Ball is currently ranked seventh in school history in the outdoor 5,000 meters and 10th in school history in the indoor 5,000 meters.

An induction ceremony for both the 2021 and 2022 Hall of Fame classes will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022.

The Utah State Athletics Hall of Fame was founded in 1993 and now includes over 100 student-athletes and three teams. The Hall of Fame is located in the Steve Mothersell Hall of Honor, which is inside the Jim and Carol Laub Athletics-Academics Complex at Maverik Stadium.
