Biography
I am an Assistant Professor of sport psychology in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Science. Originally from Alberta, Canada, I completed an MA (2017) and PhD (2023) in Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation at the University of Alberta.
I am passionate about sport psychology research and using evidence to inform applied sport psychology practices. My ultimate goal is to conduct relevant, applicable, and impactful research that promotes positive experiences and outcomes for athletes of all ages so that they enjoy sport and reach their sporting potential.
Teaching Interests
Sport and exercise psychology; Qualitative research methods
Research Interests
My research is broadly focused on the psychosocial aspects of sport among children and their families. Specifically, I am interested in how parents manage the emotional demands of youth sport and how their attitudes and behaviours influence their children's sport experience. I also have an interest in the mental aspects of sport performance, positive psychology, and qualitative research methods.
I am currently open to mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in their research endeavors. Please reach out to me via email if you are seeking supervision.
