Crystal Oberg

Biography

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from Weber State University and my Master of Public Health degree with an emphasis in Health Education and Promotion from Utah State University. I have worked as a clinical dental hygienist for many years and am teaching as an adjunct professor in the Health Education and Promotion major at USU. My teaching interests include preventative health, health promotion, and helping students connect what they learn in the classroom to real-world application. I’m especially passionate about public health education, and global health issues such as maternal and child health, clean water access, vaccinations, and nutrition. When I’m not teaching or cleaning teeth, I enjoy playing the piano and the guitar, listening to audiobooks, paddleboarding, hiking, skiing, and spending time in the mountains with my husband, three kids, and our dog.
