Shane Nebeker

Biography

Officer Shane Nebeker is a 28-year police veteran currently serving as Community Engagement Officer and Crisis K9 handler with his partner Sage. Prior to his service at USU, Shane spent 25 years with the Utah Highway Patrol and retired as a field Sergeant in 2020. After a short stint in the private sector he returned to the career he loved as a patrol officer. Shane has been the recipient of Utah Department of Public Safety Lifesaving and Distinguished Service awards as well as other citations and commendations. He is a husband and father of three. Time off will find him in the mountains camping, skiing, or participating in cycling sports.
