Biography
In my role in as an assistant professor in the KHS department I am involved in the Master of Sports Management program. In this role I teach, student mentor, and work with other faculty to design curriculum. Originally from Dodge City, KS, I attended Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS. While at FHSU, I was a four-year letter winner on the football team and graduated with a BS in Physical Education with an emphasis in Sport Management. After completing my degree, I attended the University of Kansas and earned a master’s degree in Sport Administration. I earned a PhD in Sport Management from the Ohio State University. During my time at KU, I began my career in intercollegiate athletics by serving as an intern in the athletic facilities and events office. I spent over a dozen years working in intercollegiate athletics at the University of Kansas, the University of Illinois, and the Air Force Academy. Prior to arriving at USU, I was an assistant professor of sport management at Ithaca College.
