Biography

I am currently the Director of Campus Recreation and Academic Instructor in the Recreation Administration Program at Utah State University.

I earned my Master of Sport Administration from Belmont University and my B.S. in Recreation Administration from Western Kentucky University.

I’m a recreation educator with over 18 years of experience in collegiate recreational sports programming, facility management, student and staff development and leadership/team building facilitation. I have worked at Western Kentucky University, Belmont University, and the University of Northern Colorado. I have also held positions as Associate Director of Programs and Assessment, Coordinator of Outdoor Pursuits, Coordinator of Facility Operations, Intramural Supervisor, Sport Club Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, Facility and Operations Graduate Assistant, Personal Trainer, and Challenge Course Manager.

I am an active member of the NIRSA and NASPA. I volunteer at numerous regional tournaments, conferences and committees within NIRSA and NASPA.

I’m truly passionate about my work and always eager to connect with others in the recreation field. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, the favorite part of my job is working with students and helping develop them into future professionals. I enjoy working as a member of a team as we go through the collaborative process of providing exceptional programs and services to those we serve.

Currently, I teach RAM 1000 – Introduction to Recreation Services, RAM 2000 – Recreational Sport Management, and RAM 4800 – Senior Seminar.
