Biography

I am excited to be a part of the Kinesiology Staff at Utah State. Teaching Physical Education should have been my goal from the start, but instead, I went through several different colleges, universities, and majors before I finally landed at USU. I attended Snow College, the University of Utah, and then BYU where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. I later decided that coaching and teaching PE was where I should be, so I earned a second Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a minor in Coaching and Teaching PE from Utah State. Since then I have been teaching PE at the elementary, middle, and high school levels in Nevada and Utah. I have also coached middle school basketball and high school softball, and I was an Athletic Director at Spring Valley High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. I loved my time as a student at USU and appreciate the education and mentorship I received. I look forward to sharing my experience and love for teaching with the students in KIN 4900. My husband and I have four children ranging from elementary up to high school. We spend most of our free time coaching and/or cheering them on in their athletic, musical, and scholastic endeavors.
