Biography

At Brigham Young University, I was the first freshman to become a full member of the BYU Ballet Company without first apprenticing. I was also a member of the BYU Ballroom dance company. I was a recipient of several dance scholarships. In my youth I studied with William Christensen, the founder of Ballet West.

Courses I teach at USU:
Beginning Ballet: a class designed for adults who would like to learn ballet or return to dance ballet again.
Intermediate Ballet: a class designed for students who have had prior ballet training.
Social and Ballroom Dance I: a class that covers the learning of social dances, Latin dances, and
smooth or standard dances.
Social and Ballroom Dance II: Additional dances are learned, as well as a dance routine which is
performed at a venue outside of the classroom. The dances studied vary each semester.

General Information I love dance and sharing the enjoyment of dance with my students. I feel everyone can dance. Dancing provides an outlet for fun, creativity, and socialization that comes from learning and working on skilled movement to music that can be enjoyed throughout life. I welcome students to repeat my classes throughout their college experience.
