Biography
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Science where I teach graduate courses for the Health Education and Promotion Master of Public Health (HEP MPH) program. I received my PhD in Public Policy from George Mason University, Schar School of Policy and Government. Prior to joining USU, I have worked as a health/gender policy analyst and have taught undergraduate- and graduate-level courses delivered via different formats (face-to-face, online, hybrid).

Research Interests
I specialize in health disparities research with expertise in quantitative (spatial, econometric, epidemiological) methodologies using population/health data and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). My current research is focused on examining determinants of older adult health along the racial-ethnic, age, and urban/rural dimensions.
