Biography

I teach global health courses in the Health Education and Promotion undergraduate and Master of Public Health programs. I completed a BS in Human Biology and an MPH in Health Education and Promotion at Utah State University, as well as a graduate diploma in International Public Health from the Institute for International Medicine. I am currently completing my doctoral training as a Community Health and Innovation Network Scholar at the University of Utah School of Medicine. I also work as the executive director of the International Health and Early Learning Programs (iHELP) Foundation and as a director at Athletics United. My research and practice focus on international nutrition, food insecurity, refugee health, community capacity building, synergies between medicine and public health, and service learning for medical and public health students.
