Biography
I have been teaching and a student of martial arts since 1977. I have trained several times with Japanese instructors in Japan. It was my honor to have worked with the Brigham City Police on Arrest and Control Tactics and has provided demonstrations for CAPSA and youth and women organizations in Utah.
My wife and family are in Logan, Utah and I have been in Cache Valley since 1976.
Education and Expertise
1968: Associate of Arts- College of Eastern Utah: History emphasis
1970: Bachelor of Arts- University of Utah: History
US Army 1970-1974. During this time, I introduced to Eastern martial arts (Shotokan, Shorin Ryu Karate and Judo)
Achieved the level of Yondan (4th degree black belt) in Shorinji Kempo-1997
Currently (President) Sensei: Shichidan (7th degree black belt) Kyu Shin Ryu Karate Do since 2001.
